United Way of Central Alabama or UWCA was a multipurpose kitchen to accommodate a community senior feeding program as well as the national meals on wheels program with contracted food being delivered for distribution. The kitchen will allow UWCA to prepare bulk food as needed. Because this project was a renovation of an office building, there were physical dimension constraints. It was apparent that sufficient dry storage areas were challenging. Below you can see we used a sliding track system for storage which increases the capacity dramatically.
